Why Are GU10 LED Bulbs So Expensive?

The use of spotlights, or downlights as they are commonly known, for primary lighting applications around the modern home has become standard practice in recent years, replacing the traditional approach of a single centrally hung lighting source. Using spotlights allows for many more bulbs to be effectively used, resulting in improved light levels and a much more even coverage. The downside of course is that each room requires far more light bulbs.
