PL Lights

We stock a range of low energy PL lamps that are suitable for both domestic and commercial uses. Available in a range of fittings and power outputs, these PL lights are commonly used in ceiling fixtures or wall sconces in offices and hallways. PL stands for Philips Lighting, the manufacturer that initially designed these types of lamps that are designed for long operation per switch on. Each fitting is compatible with only specific types of PL lights and is dependant on the fixture’s power output.

PL-C 2 Pin Low Energy Lamp - these PL lights are available in 10w, 13w, 18w and 28w and can be used with Philips Master PLC ranges, Osram Dulux D and GE Biax D ranges. Each wattage has a slightly different base. The 10w and 13w lamps have a G24D-1 base; the 18w lamp has a G24D-2 base; and the 26w has a G24D-3 base.

PL-C 4 Pin Low Energy Lamp - we stock 10w, 13w, 18w and 28w lamps. The 10w and 13w have the G24Q-1 base; the 18w has a G24Q-2 base; and the 26w a G24Q-3 base.

PL-S 2 Pin Low Energy Lamp - this lamp comes with a G23 2 base and a choice of wattage, either 7w, 9w or 11w.

GE Biax S and SE Low Energy Lamp - these are GE branded BIAX lamps that are equivalent to the OSRAM dulux SE and Philips master PLS ranges. The SE lamps have 4 pin 2G7 bases, whereas the S have 2 pin G23 bases. The SE lamps are suitable for dimming and emergency lighting applications. The wattage available is 7w, 9w and 11w.

PL-T 42w 4 Pin Low Energy Lamp - also GE branded these lamps come in 13w, 18w and 26w variants. Using only 42w of power these PL lights offer an extended life span. The 13w lamp comes as a G24 D-1 base; the 18w a G24 D-2; and the 26 w lamp has a G24 D-3 base.
PL-L 4 Pin Low Energy Lamp - these lamps are H shaped and we stock 24w and 36w versions. Each of these has a 2G11 4 pin base.
