Our range of LED lamps has been established over a number of years to provide optimum quality halogen replacements at a range of price points. As LED lights are a relatively new technology there are a lot of poor-quality, unproven products in the market that suppliers will blindly pass onto customers. How do we set ourselves apart? All of our products are fully-tested by us in our own facility in the UK. We put LED lamps through accelerated ageing processes to evaluate life-spans and test components to destruction. Of course we can never guarantee that nothing will go wrong but we can be confident in telling you that the LED lighting we offer is some of the best we have seen (and we have seen a lot!).

LED light bulbs represent the latest in household lighting technology. There may be a higher initial outlay, compared to halogen bulbs, but householders can save money on their electricity bills because LED light bulbs have a very low power consumption. LED light bulbs also last a lot longer than halogen bulbs. LED light bulbs are suitable as a halogen replacement because they offer a similar light output and have been designed to fit GU10 and MR16 lamp fittings. Some lampholders may not be suitable for LED light bulbs, which are larger than the halogen alternative. Which wattage? There are a variety of wattages available for LED light bulbs. The wattage you need will depend on the application. To give you an idea: 2-3w would be suitable if not much light is required, for example in and under cupboards; 4-6w is suitable for ambient lighting; and 6-9w is ideal for primary lighting.

We stock both GU10 and MR16 LED light bulbs. GU10 fittings are found in most common types of spotlights and we have lamps from 2w to 8.5w with lifespans of up to 50,000 hours, which is huge compared to the average 2,000 hour lifespan of a halogen bulb. MR16 LED light bulbs are available in wattages from 1w to 4.5w and have a lifespan of up to 40,000 hours. MR16 LED light bulbs are compatible with most lights with a MR15 fitting that would have previously worked with a halogen bulb. The difference between GU10 and MR16 bulbs is that GU10 bulbs are designed to work on mains voltage, whereas MR16 bulbs run off 12V. Why not check out our wide range of products?
