GX53 disk lamps are commonly used for under cabinet and secondary lighting applications. They consist of a lamp and separate fitting, so can be easily replaced if required and are available in a range of colours and power options.
The fittings can vary slightly and include both surface mount and flush mounting varieties to cater for those who wish to hide them away aswell as those who want to avoid cutting holes in cabinets.
GX53 disc lamps are low energy lamps that, due to their reduced power consumption and long life, can offer savings of up to 80% compared to an incandescent equivalent. GX53 disc lights are ideal for use in display cabinets, under-shelf lighting, corridors, staircases, etc. These lamps are one of the smallest low energy lamps available but offer comparable light to a standard incandescent bulb.
We stock 3w LED and 7w, 9w and 11w GX53 compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) disc lamps. The 3w LED GX53 Disk Lamp is a replacement for a standard GX53 lamp. The LEDs mean that power consumption is less than half that of a standard 7w disk light and the life span is increased to 30,000 hours. The light output is the same as a 7w lamp but it comes on instantly, so there is no need to wait for the light to reach 100% as with CFL lamps. The 7w GX53 Disk Lamp is a replacement low energy lamp for a GX53 fitting, which is suitable for use where there are height restrictions in place. We offer both warm white and cool white light to suit various applications. The 7w, 9w and 11w disk lights each have a life span of around 10,000 hours and provide around 35w, 40w and 50w of light respectively. The 9w and 11w GX53 Disc Lamps come in warm white. All are ideal for use in kitchens to provide lighting under cabinets. These disc lights are easy to replace with a simple twist and lock pin system.
In addition to the replacement disc lamps we stock various types of fittings to fulfil your needs. The flush mount fitting requires a 78mm cut out and allows the light fitting to sit flush with the surface for a sleek, low profile finish. Our flush mount fitting has a contemporary, silver finish. We also have a surface mounting fitting, with a white finish, to allow you to attach a disk light fitting without any drilling. The fitting comes complete with connection block mounting screws. Lastly, we stock a stainless steel triangular GX53 fitting and lamp with is a mini triangular under-cabinet fluorescent downlight supplied with a 7w GX53 disc lamp. These are perfect for under kitchen cabinets and offer an attractive stainless steel finish.
