Ceiling Downlights

Recessed downlight fittings are extremely popular in domestic and commercial interior lighting. Downlights offer a low-profile, sleek finish because the light fittings are flush to the ceiling. The benefits of downlights are that they look clean and modern, and provide even light in the room where they are fitted. They are popular in contemporary homes.

Our range of standard downlights includes both open-backed and fireproof standard (non-waterproof) downlights as well as shower rated downlights for use in wet areas. The sealed lens unit prevents moisture getting to the lamp and the electrics. Open-backed downlights are the more basic option and leave the lamp connections exposed in the ceiling cavity whereas closed-back fireproof downlights are designed to seal in the event of a fire to attempt to halt the spread of smoke and flames through the light fittings. Tilting downlights are ideal for creating task lighting in kitchens and bathrooms and highlight features in the home such as artwork.

We also provide a range of downlight packages which include suitable lamps for the downlights to make your job of buying the right lighting slightly simpler. Both fixed and tilting options are available in the downlight packages. Most recessed downlight fittings come complete with lampholders, which provide the cable and socket to the lamp, however we do supply these separately should you require any spares.
