All shower lights are IP65 rated die-cast downlighter specifically designed for use in bathroooms, shower cubicles, communal baths and showers, (zones 1,2,& 3 where water jets are likely), kitchens and exterior soffits.

SO WHY PAY MORE FOR A FIREPROOF FITTING? - A standard downlighter is clearly not going to burn as it's made of metal BUT it's not a fully sealed unit meaning that in the event of fire it is possible to flames to pass into the roof void space above the lamp and for it to spread throughout the building. The fire rated fittings are designed so that if a fire breaks out the heat generated causes a special material in the fitting to expand and completely seal the fitting so preventing the fire spreading for up to 90 minutes - it could save your home or more importantly your life.

Takes a standard MR16 lamp or GU10 (not supplied). Complete with lampholder and connecting block. Available in polished chrome or brushed satin finish.
