Do you have to use Fireproof fittings?- Basically if you are doing anything which requires compliance with building regulations (which obviously includes and new build or alterations requiring planning permission) then you MUST use fireproof fittings - anything else will not be compliant.

All fittings in this section are for general purpose use - they are NOT suitable for use in bathrooms.

Fireproof Fixed Downlighters

Fire tested & assessed for up to 90minutes - in the event of a fire the intumescent material completely seals the downlighter. Very easy to install with recessed springs for neatness of appearance. GU10 240v fitting only.
