Choosing LED's. . .
It's clear that there is a HUGE difference in price between Halogen lamps and LED's so is it worth it? It depends on usage - if your lights are only used occaisionally then frankly it's difficult to justify the cost of an LED but where lights are on for long periods then they will pay for themselves many times over. Please don't think that the light output of the £4.99 lamps is anywhere near that of the £20 lamps - it isn't - but they have a place for example lighting cupboards or highlighting things. The EconoLED's are great for corridors etc where you need even light but if you intend to live and work in a room then you will probably need to look at the Zenigata lamps. Don't be afraid to try them - remember you can send them back if they don't meet your needs. |
