What size unit do I need? - Size really does matter - if the unit is too small it's a waste of time whilst if it's too big you will get temperature swings and the running costs will be higher than necessary. Some guideline on loads are shown below - just calculate the total and then chose the appropriate size unit (1wk = 1000watts) Large open plan office - 125 watts per square metreSmall office - 150 watts per square metreLiving Room - 110 watts per square metreBedroom - 90 watts per square metreObviously if the room has large south facing windows or lots of heat generating equipment then you should allow more cooling power.Can they be self installed? - No. These systems will require professional installation as the electrical requirements are no longer legal for DIYAre they economical heaters? - yes - the beauty of these unit is that they contain heat pumps which generate more heat than they use. For example a 3kw radiant electric heater consures 3kw power and outputs 3kw heat which is a coefficient of performance (COP) of 1 - our units have a COP of 3 that is for every Kw of power consumed they generate 3kw of heat saving you significant amounts on your heating biills.Can more than one internal unit be powered from 1 external unit?</b> - no you will need 1 indoor unit for each outdoor unit.
