We stock the most popular variations of the halogen capsules and tubes.

The G9 capsule is the mains version, identified by the two looped connectors at the base.

The G4 capsule is the 12v version, identified by the two straight pins at the base.

We offer two sizes of the tubular halogens, one at 118mm and the other at 79mm, both have the R7 connector which is situated at each end of the tube within a ceramic cap.

The capsules are found in many desk lamps & modern multi headed fittings.

Tubular halogens are most common in security lights and high intensity PIR fittings.

Care should be taken when handling these lamps, ensure that the failed lamps are cold and the power turned off. Halogen lamps operate at very high temperatures so ensure that the wattage of the lamp you are choosing is correct for your fitting, do not put higher rated lamps than recommended for your fitting.

When changing the lamp do not handle directly with your fingers, the natural moisture found on our fingers will shorten the life, use a dry cloth such as a duster to handle and place in to the fitting.
