Just how many picture lamps or cabinet lamps do we use that are either fluorescent or tungsten tubes? We use them for ambience lighting but don't consider the total energy consumed. The strip light we offer has an equivalent output of 40w but only consumes a measly 7w of power.
The G9 halogen replacements we stock are by Megaman, these compact fluorescent lamps are extremely small but have a great output and colour temperature. Consuming just 7w the output is equivalent to 35w and with a good warm colour temperature they remain so much cooler running than the standard halogen capsule. They are bigger than a standard halogen capsule but they are ideal for open fittings.
